Earnestness

In my opinion, earnestness is the highest virtue. Nothing has been so profound in my life, nothing has had a bigger effect on my life. "earnestness gets the goods" as Ramana Maharshi said. Even if I've lacked the other virtues, earnestness, sincerity of purpose, developes all the necessary virtues, earnestness eventually finds happiness, and wins happily ever after. In my life, nothing has been as powerful as earnestness. In earnestness, my mistakes have been forgiven. I cannot sing earnestness' praises enough, it is the most potent medicine. No problem has been insurmountable, with earnestness, no foe is too large, no insecurity too engrained. In earnestness, all is given, forgiven, and all doors are opened. All problems dissolve. In earnestness, all sorrows are heroic. In earnestness, everyone is embraced constantly without the tiniest trace of any loneliness. And if there is loneliness, earnestness finds love.
