Below are the Cellular Citizens, dwellers in Prokaryotic Villages, and Eukaryotic Metropolii. Worshippers of the Bible Genome, on it's many Chromosomal Bookshelves. Some really large and naive folks call them protein molecules.
Just for the sake of avoiding confusion. The bottom Sun is Betelgeuse in the pictures of the 19 mile across star. The sun is the orange one at Grand and Oak. The yellow one is Sirius A. This is for size comparison if the Earth were a desktop globe. I have the 12" globe which travels 8 feet per hour in it's 14 mile orbit at my former house. The Sun is 2.23 miles or 1AU (in the model) from that house at Grand and Oak. Venus here is 1.6 miles from the Sun. The yellow line by the desktop globe is the Earth-moon distance. The moon would be approximately the size of a baseball. The Jupiter here is in Vancounver, 11.2 miles from the Sun. The Jupiter versus desktop globe picture I added is in a house scaled 1000X to the city of Portland. It made it easier to go inside the house and I thought I might as well have the city floor decoration. Io is 33 feet from the desktop Jupiter. The desktop Jupiter being 11 feet in diameter is scaled to the 12" desktop globe. Io and Europa are the correct distance and size scaled with the desktop Jupiter, Earth, and the 109 foot diameter Sun. The image of the colored polygons on Portland is the orbits of Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. The blue-ish globe in the living room is actually Uranus not Neptune. I got confused and labeled one of the images Neptune. You can see the relative size to a desktop globe. Jupiter being 11.2 feet in diameter. Uranus 4 feet in diameter.
